Xenical beats diet, exercise in weight loss for obese, researchers say

Researchers at an obesity conference in Prague reported Roche's Xenical weight-loss drug has been shown to outperform diet and exercise alone in helping overweight teenagers shed pounds. The drug limits the body's ability to absorb fat and has been proven effective already in treating obese adults. Xenical won FDA approval as a prescription drug for weight loss for youngsters aged 12 to 16 last year.
