Blog: Student engagement begins with investment

Teachers must engage students in lessons, but in order to do that, students must first be invested in what they are learning, according to this blog post. "When students are invested in the work they are doing, they become -- quite literally -- wrapped up in the design, implementation and outcome of the task," writes educator Stephen Hurley.
