Commentary: Nuclear power would ease Virginia's power crunch

As the nation looks for ways to reduce the emissions contributing to global warming, it should re-evaluate its stance on nuclear power, writes Dominion President David Christian in this commentary. Nuclear power supplies about 20% of the nation's energy needs, he writes, and in Virginia, it may help solve the energy crunch expected during the next 10 years. Dominion has applied for a construction and operating license for a possible third reactor at its North Anna power station.
