Krugman sees potential for growth in U.S. this year

Nobel Prize-winning economist Paul Krugman said Monday that the world economy is stabilizing and has successfully avoided "utter catastrophe." Industrialized countries, Krugman said, could record modest growth as early as this year. "I would not be surprised to see flat to positive GDP growth in the United States, and maybe even in Europe, in the second half of the year," Krugman said.
