Study links childhood obesity, food allergies

Researchers have found that overweight and obese children are about 25% more likely to have one or more food allergies than their normal-weight peers and are more than 50% more likely to be allergic to milk. The authors say their study does not prove that obesity causes allergies, noting that other reasons may explain the link.
