Booking technologies to offer personalized price quotes

Travelers shopping online for airfares will one day have "digital personalities" allowing airlines to better match them with bundled services that meet their needs, according to an executive with Amadeus North America. Anonymity does not work in the current pricing environment, Robert Buckman says, noting that airlines need to know travelers' status and preferences in order to offer the lowest fares. "I'm optimistic that carriers will find ways to bring greater value to the customer," Buckman says of the coming upgrades in booking technology.
