CDC: Children lack places to play, exercise

A Centers for Disease Control and Prevention report found that fewer than 20% of U.S. high-school students get at least an hour of physical activity a day, and only 37 states require physical education for all grades in schools. The report also showed that only about one in five homes have parks or a fitness or recreation center within half a mile, which officials said could contribute to childhood obesity.
