Fed runs late with data on small-business use of credit cards

A law on credit card reform adopted last year directs the Federal Reserve to study how small businesses use credit cards and report to Congress whether additional legislation or action might be needed. Saturday was the deadline for the report, and the Fed did not meet it. Officials expect to send the report to the House Financial Services Committee by the end of this week.
