Fla. area reports first '10 case of Eastern Equine Encephalitis in horse

A horse in Marion County, Fla., tested positive for Eastern Equine Encephalitis, making it the first confirmed case in the area in 2010. The Marion County Health Department is reminding area residents to take measures to prevent contraction of the mosquito-borne disease, which is often spread to people and equines through the bites of infected mosquitoes.
