Report: Stimulus boosted GDP, jobs

The Congressional Budget Office released a report Tuesday showing that U.S. GDP rose as much 4.6% in the first quarter as a result of spending under the federal stimulus package passed last year. The report by the nonpartisan agency also credited the stimulus with putting up to 3.4 million people in jobs. While a boost for Democrats, the report does not differ drastically from earlier estimates.
