Transplant patients tweet for kidneys

Patients seeking organs are turning to social networks in a bid to find suitable donors. Individual patients are tweeting and launching Facebook pages to find strangers willing to give up a kidney, and public officials are studying ways to use the sites to expand organ-donor registry programs. "It is a method that shows a lot of promise, particularly with people in the 18- to 24-year-old range," says one health researcher.
