United chief is "confident" of merger timetable

United Airlines CEO Glenn Tilton says he is "very confident" that antitrust concerns will be cleared up by year's end, allowing United to move ahead with its proposed merger with Continental Airlines. Tilton says both companies already have held "initial conversations" with the Justice Department. "My view remains very optimistic we can address the concerns they have expressed, well within the timetable," he says.
