Analyst ponders the state of the movie-rental business

A research note from Wedbush Securities analyst Michael Pachter concludes that the number of movies rented at kiosks and by mail and streamed via services such as Netflix rose 8% in April compared with May 2010. However, the number of DVD and Blu-ray movies rented at video stores or purchased fell 8%, according to Pachter.
