GRI seeks to rebrand sustainability reporting

The Global Reporting Initiative is seeking to rebrand its sustainability reporting using more positive and upbeat imagery. Receding glaciers and bedraggled polar bears are becoming cliches, the group says, so it's seeking submissions of "positive and aspirational" photography to retool its Web presence. "Sustainability reporting should be a positive message -- organizations can use the reporting process to mitigate their impacts on the planet, economy and society," said Crystal Crawford, GRI's senior communications coordinator.
