House committee debates state of litigation in corporate America

The House Judiciary Committee held a hearing Tuesday where the economic impact of corporate litigation was discussed by lawmakers and lawyers. This year, House Republicans have considered steps to cap noneconomic damages in medical malpractice cases and to toughen sanctions against lawyers who file frivolous lawsuits.
