India proposes requirements for OTC derivatives

The Reserve Bank of India proposed requiring all over-the-counter foreign exchange and interest-rate derivatives to be reported through a trade repository. A working group at the central bank recommended the Clearing Corporation of India as the repository for such derivatives transactions. The move aims to increase transparency and enhance post-trade efficiency.
