Some plants can deter deer from invading your garden

Plants that produce a strong aroma or have a prickly texture can prevent deer from foraging in the garden, said Ruth Clausen, author of "50 Beautiful Deer-Resistant Plants." Some of the plants that possess these characteristics are English lavender, Japanese ferns, daffodils and ornamental grasses. Some lawn decorations can also repel deer, Clausen added.
