Zuckerberg faces the music on Facebook's entertainment ambitions

Facebook doesn't "have the DNA to be a music company or a movie company" and won't be relocating from Silicon Valley to Los Angeles anytime soon, CEO Mark Zuckerberg said at a Group of 8 nations gathering this week. Zuckerberg's comments, which came amid rumors that Facebook is teaming with music-streaming service Spotify, suggest that the social giant will seek partnerships rather than going it alone in media services. "Whether the Spotify/Facebook rumor du jour is true or not, Facebook is clearly keen to get more immersed in the media and entertainment industries," Colleen Taylor writes.
