Support problems, faulty concrete bents suspected in terminal collapse

As investigators look into the collapse of a section of a year-old terminal at Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport, focus will likely be on construction problems with supports of the vaulted concrete concourse. A large section of the vault enclosing an elevated concourse fell off of its bearings with little warning, and one independent structural specialist has suggested faulty concrete bents may have been responsible.
