Hotel rates in gateway cities expected to rise in summer months

Hotel rates in seven key U.S. cities are expected to rise in June and July by an average of 10.8% over the same months last year, according to analysts. New York, Los Angeles and Atlanta are each expected to see increases of more than 20% compared to June 2004. Rates are expected to rise 18.4% and 16.6% in Boston and Chicago, respectively.
