Scientists challenge study suggesting overweight people live longer

Leading researchers are challenging a recent headline-grabbing federal study suggesting people who are slightly overweight live longer. Scientists with the Harvard School of Public Health and the American Cancer Society said other studies, including their own, countered those findings and showed instead that the death risk form excess weight increased steadily from normal weight to overweight and to obesity.
