Even cardiac patients lack knowledge of heart attack symptoms

Nursing researchers say 44% of more than 3,500 patients who either had a heart attack or have heart disease did not score well on surveys testing their knowledge of heart attack symptoms. The best scores came from women, patients who had undergone cardiac rehab, those who were younger or who had higher education levels, and those treated by a heart specialist.
