French company gets go-ahead on $2.7 billion S.C. deal

The U.S. Department of Energy has penned a $2.7 billion agreement that will allow a subsidiary of French nuclear manufacturer Areva to build a power station near Aiken, S.C. Shaw Areva MOX Services will make nuclear reactor fuel pellets called MOX from plutonium and uranium oxide.
