Groups oppose AMA request to complete all standards for e-Rx

The American Medical Association asked Congress to require that the federal government flesh out all national technical standards for e-prescribing by the end of 2009. Hospital, pharmacy, insurance, physician, and vendor groups responded, saying that the standards now in place are enough to create "substantial and measurable benefits" from e-prescribing.
