Orlando embarks on $1B airport upgrade

Seeking to expand capacity without committing to a new terminal, Orlando International Airport has started on a $1 billion renovation project to overhaul its existing terminal with more space, new baggage conveyors and upgraded security systems. The plan also calls for an updated rental-car facility, new traffic lanes outside the airport and improved taxiways capable of handling the A380 super jumbo.
