Truckers buckling under high diesel costs

With razor-thin profit margins even in good times, many truckers are facing financial ruin as diesel prices climb. While small, independent operators are suffering the most, more large operations are also failing. In the first quarter, 935 larger trucking companies went out of business, compared with 385 a year earlier, according to the American Trucking Association.
