Amy Hartsfield says she always enjoyed photography, but it wasn't until she saw the world from the cockpit of the plane that she realized her hobby could become her profession. "After becoming a licensed pilot in 2002, a whole new world of photography opened up for me," she says. "I realized that I could turn my two passions -- for flying and photography -- into a business." As the owner of Amy and Co., Hartsfield takes aerial photos from Mississippi to Florida, and she boasts a roster of steady clients. She says she loves to fly even when she's not working, and evidently her enthusiasm is infectious. "Now my 18-year-old son has decided to pursue his private pilot's license, and I'm ecstatic," she says. "He'll make a great pilot."
