Las Vegas' CityCenter on schedule after owner mulls bankruptcy

The 67-acre CityCenter development in Las Vegas remains on track to open later this year, according to its owners. CityCenter will consist of up to 5,900 hotel rooms, a casino and 2,392 apartments as well as a shopping center and entertainment complex. Owners MGM Mirage and Dubai World faced financing problems earlier this year, and MGM indicated it was considering filing for bankruptcy protection. However, the two owners have reached an agreement that will allow construction to proceed regardless of whether MGM files for bankruptcy.
