NCA's EXPO spotlights new products, trends

The NCA's 2009 ALL CANDY EXPO held in Chicago last week saw the introduction of more than 2,000 confections and snacks and a 6% boost in attendance. "People really love the sessions -- our educational seminars hit an all-time high in attendance," said Jim Corcoran, vice president of trade relations for the NCA. Among the show's strongest new trends were exotic flavorings, petite gourmet chocolates, and flavors from superfruits such as acai, pomegranate and blueberry.
