Two Canadian architects urge others to adopt BIM

Building Information Modeling is poised to reinvent the design and construction industry, according to two members of the Canada BIM Council. Architect Paul Loreto of paul f. loreto architect inc. and Allan Partridge of HIP Architects use BIM in all of their design projects. Loreto noted that some Canadian firms are slow to adopt BIM because of the time and resources needed to implement it. "It takes the right mind-set to try something new. BIM is not only a tool but part of a larger process which will change the way architects, engineers and contractors carry out their business," he noted.
