Europe seeks privacy agreement with U.S.

The European Union's justice commissioner has insisted on formalized privacy protocols with the U.S., including rules governing airline passenger lists and financial transactions. Viviane Reding says it could take one to two years to reach agreement. "These discussions are not going to be easy because the systems on the two sides are so different," she warns.
