Massachusetts utility to turn on state's largest solar facility

National Grid plans to switch on the largest solar facility in Massachusetts, located on the roof of the utility's distribution center. The rooftop array contains around 4,700 solar panels and can provide a megawatt of electricity. The state's Green Communities Act gave utilities the right to own up to 50 megawatts of capacity two years ago.
