Fiserv's 2010 Consumer Billing and Payment Trends Survey found that the growth of online banking and mobile payments is outpacing the overall growth of the Internet. The survey also suggests people who pay bills online come from a broad range of demographic backgrounds. "Early users were tech-savvy and tended to be young and male, as is typical with new technology. Now it's moms and seniors and people at all income levels using the service," said Geoff Knapp, Fiserv's vice president of online banking and consumer insights.
