Upbeat housing sales report could be followed by a dip

Low mortgage rates, falling home prices and a rush by buyers to take advantage of an expiring tax credit boosted sales of new single-family homes by 14.8% between March and April, according to a report released Wednesday by the Commerce Department. April sales were 47.8% higher than a year ago.
