DISH keeps up pressure to sink Sprint-SoftBank deal

DISH Network's attempts last week to derail SoftBank's potential purchase of Sprint Nextel on national-security grounds picked up some steam when U.S. senators began questioning the Japanese carrier's links to Chinese telecom firms. DISH also made progress in financing its own attempt to buy Sprint when the satellite provider received commitment letters from five banks.
