Dan Lockwood took over his first Unishippers Global Logistics franchise in 1991 and was named executive vice president and chief products officer a little more than a decade later. In 2011, Lockwood became CEO of the Utah-based company, which manages shipping details and negotiates carrier rates for customers. "I've always had the desire to lead, though it's not always smooth sailing when you run a company," he said. "I've never been afraid of that challenge."
