Pa. district to replace textbooks with iPads in some grades

IPads will replace traditional textbooks this fall for eighth-through 10th-grade students in Susquenita School District in Pennsylvania. The district has entered into a three-year contract with Apple, and intends to replace the devices after two years. If the program is successful, officials say it could be expanded to include students in 11th and 12th grade.
