"Virtual retirement communities" let seniors stay home, save cash

Some seniors are banding together to create networks for organized doctor trips, field trips, exercise classes, clubs and help with chores. One organizer calls his group a "virtual retirement community," and the movement allows seniors to age in their homes. The cost for the 200 members of a Cambridge, Mass., group is about $1,200 a year -- far less than assisted-living facilities.
