Bolt Fiber Optic to bring gigabit service to rural Okla.

Bolt Fiber Optic Services, a subsidiary of the Northeast Oklahoma Electric Cooperative, is installing a network capable of transmitting data at 1 gigabit per second in rural northeastern Oklahoma. The company is employing Alcatel-Lucent's gigabit passive optical network equipment for the project, parts of which will go online in the fourth quarter. The full project is scheduled for completion within three years.
