How automation is changing IT job roles

While automation may eliminate low-level IT jobs it's also bringing a greater need for higher-level skills such as leadership, management expertise and even unique knowledge such as anthropology backgrounds. "Routine information processing is in the bulls eye of automation. I think that's only going to accelerate," says economist Erik Brynjolfsson, director of the MIT Center for Digital Business at the MIT Sloan School of Management.
