Celebrex may have lower heart risk than other NSAIDs

Canadian researchers studied more than 130,000 older adults and found Celebrex appeared to be less likely than other nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory (NSAID) drugs to lead to congestive heart failure. NSAIDs have been used by older people to fight off arthritis symptoms, but there is an increased heart failure risk associated with them, while less is known about the effects from newer cox-2 inhibitor NSAIDs such as Celebrex and Vioxx.
