HR pros need strategic thinking skills

To be a leader means one must think strategically, but many leadership development programs focus more on day-to-day tactical skills. To hone your strategic thinking skills and help others do so, look at issues from many perspectives, focus on solutions instead of problems, influence listeners and think how most effectively to get buy-in, management consultants say.
