Aviation groups have high hopes for Babbitt tenure at FAA

Aviation groups are unanimous in welcoming Randy Babbitt to his new role as FAA administrator while recognizing the difficult task ahead. AOPA President Craig Fuller says Babbitt "demonstrated that he clearly understands general aviation pilots and our needs," though brokering a compromise on funding the agency won't be easy. "By working together, we can emerge stronger," Fuller said. The National Air Transportation Association and the National Business Aviation Association were among the other groups praising Babbitt's confirmation.
