Florida officials hope toll revenue funds beltway project

Revenue from Orlando toll roads rose 20% in April. Officials note that fewer drivers are using the roads, and they attributed the stronger revenue to a 25 cent increase in tolls. Officials eventually hope to use the toll revenue to fund a beltway around greater Orlando and other construction projects. If tolls continue to climb, construction could start in a year, they noted.
