Gas prices jump just as travelers start considering trips

Regular gasoline costs averaged $2.45 per gallon on Thursday, an increase of 40 cents in just one month. According to a new survey, consumers planning summer vacations are more concerned about the price of gas than hotel rooms. The survey also found that more than 90% of adults who are planning a road trip say that finding the least-expensive gas is at least somewhat important.
