InterContinental ready for economic uptick

Richard Solomons, CFO of InterContinental Hotels Group, says the economic recovery will be slow. Shares are up by a third since March, which is promising for the group, which runs Holiday Inn, Crowne Plaza and Staybridge brands. Rebranded Holiday Inns saw business rise by 5%, which Solomons said was "surprisingly quick."
