BABs thrive while most sovereign debt takes a beating

Build America Bonds, taxable municipal securities created last year to stimulate the economy, have seen their yields drop while most sovereign debt has suffered as investors flee to safer bets. Investors seemed to have taken some time to warm up to BABs, but the sovereign-debt crisis in Europe has improved their perception about muni debt.
