Community clinics benefit from hospital partnerships

A Commonwealth Fund study found patients at community-based health centers were more likely to get off-site diagnostic tests and follow-up care if the clinic partnered with a hospital. Data from 795 centers showed they provide timely on-site access to care, but patients may have trouble getting specialist care or information if there is no link to a hospital.
