Weed killers that are based on corn, fungus and iron can help get rid of dandelions and are environmentally friendly, writes Jim Hole. Each of the products attacks and kills dandelions in different ways. Another effective way to manage a lawn is through regular dethatching, aeration and an annual application of slow-release fertilizer, Hole notes.
