Kentucky proposes using student performance in teacher evaluations

Kentucky education leaders are proposing to base teacher and principal evaluations partly on student performance in an effort to garner $175 million in federal grant money under the Race to the Top competition. It would be the first time such a program would be used by the state, and teachers would be rated on student growth and observations from administrators.
